Boris, The Boxer is an easy project to work. It consists of two stitches - long stitch and brick stitch. These are both straight stitches. Long Stitch is considered the easiest stitch to work. Follow these simple steps to download and print your free "Boris, The Boxer" Long Stitch Design: Fill out the form below, click "submit" (your password will appear on this page), click on "printable version", enter the password and print the diagram.

This is how your long stitch diagram will look (without the color text) when printed. The design will print out 4 pages, letter size, landscape view.
INSTRUCTIONS:
You will need 3-ply persian yarn in the following colors:
White
Black
Dark Brown
Medium Dark Tan
Peach Flesh
Ivory or Off-White (Background color)
This project is worked on 10-mesh Mono Canvas. Once you have printed the design, simply place the canvas over the diagram and trace the image onto the canvas. (Helpful Hint: If you have difficulty seeing all of the lines of the diagram when it is under the canvas, outline the diagram with marker before attempting to trace it.) When complete, this project will be 20" x 16" actual size. The dog is worked in Long Stitch. You will be able to see where the long stitches begin and end in the diagram. Visit the Long Stitch page for specific instructions on working the stitch. The background is worked in Brick Stitch. Use Ivory or Off-White for the background color. Once you have completed the form by filling in your name and email address, click the submit button. This will take you to the "password page", where you will be given a password.
Copy the password, return to this page, click on "printable version" above and enter the password. This will take you to the page with the PDF file.
Click on the PDF file. This will open the file. Choose the print icon (it will look like a printer) in the pdf area of the window. Note: Do not print from the "file" menu. This will not work.
IMPORTANT: When the PRINT window opens, check the box marked "Choose Paper Source By PDF Page Size". If this box is not checked, you will lose part of the design.
