Bring the needle up at A, move up and to the left over three canvas intersections, bring the needle down at B. Bring a new needle of yarn up at B and wrap the yarn around the "C" straight stitch. Maintaining an even tension, move the needle under and around the "A" diagonal stitch. Continue to maintain an even tension and wrap the yarn around the "I" straight stitch. Continue working in this manner until you have completed a circle and arrived at where you started. Now, continue on to diagram 3...
