Open Wave Stitch (Diagram 1):
We begin this stitch by working the laid (trame') stitch. Bring the needle up at A, move to the right over any number of threads you choose and bring the needle down at B. The wave stitches are illustrated in light blue. Bring the needle up at C, move up and around the laid stitch as illustrated above. At E and G the yarn will be worked UNDER the canvas. Now, continue on to Diagram 2...
Open Wave Stitch (Diagram 2):
Beginning where we left off, once the wave stitch is worked, small tie-down stitches need to be added to the first row. These are shown here at D and F. The second wave stitch will be worked into the frst wave stitch as shown in the above diagram.
