The first row of this stitch consists of tent stitches, as shown. Bring the needle up at A, move up and to the right over one canvas intersection, bring the needle down at B. Bring the needle up at C, move up and to the right over one canvas intersection, bring the needle down at D. Bring the needle up at E, move up and to the right over one canvas intersection, bring the needle down at F. Bring the needle up at G, move up and to the right over one canvas intersection, bring the needle down at H. Now, continue on to Diagram 2...
Weaving Stitch (Diagram 2):
Beginning where we left off at H, we will work this row in the opposite direction. Bring the needle up at I, move up and to the left over two canvas intersections, bring the needle down at F. Bring the needle up at J, move up and to the left over two canvas intersections, bring the needle down at D. Bring the needle up at K, move up and to the left over two canvas intersections, bring the needle down at B. In order to square off the design, we will need to add a tent stitch here. Bring the needle up at L, move up and to the left over one canvas intersection, bring the needle down at A. Now, continue on to Diagram 3...
Weaving Stitch (Diagram 3):
Beginning where we left off at A, we will, again, work this row in the opposite direction of the previous row. Bring the needle up at M, move up and to the right over two canvas intersections, bring the needle down at C. Bring the needle up at N, move up and to the right over two canvas intersections, bring the needle down at E. Bring the needle up at O, move up and to the right over two canvas intersections, bring the needle down at G. Now, we will add a tent stitch to square off the design. Bring the needle up at P, move up and to the right over one canvas intersection, bring the needle down at I. Now, continue on to Diagram 4...

This diagram illustrates how a large area of the weaving stitch should look when complete. In this demonstration, we have chosen to use only one color. You may choose to use constrasting colors for a more interesting effect.
