REVERSED BASKETWEAVE STITCH
The Reversed Basketweave Stitch is, as the
name implies, the basketweave stitch in reverse. The tent part of the stitch that is normally viewed on the front of the piece is formed on the back of the piece. The basketweave look that is normally formed on the back of the piece is formed on the front of the piece. This stitch is worked diagonally, using straight stitches. Be sure to fill in the edges of the area in which you are working with small filling stitches. Six diagrams have been used to demonstrate this stitch. Clicking on the PRINTABLE VERSION icon, located at the end of the series of diagrams, will direct you to the page to print these instructions.
